Salstrom Joins Baldwin Health

Baldwin Health announced that Dr. Philip Salstrom has joined its medical staff. Salstrom completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at East Tennessee State and earned his Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Rockford. During his residency, he was recognized with the Gold Humanism Honor Society Award and received the Residents as Teachers Award, reflecting both his clinical excellence and commitment to compassionate patient care. Throughout his career, Salstrom has provided comprehensive OB/GYN services in both rural and urban communities, caring for patients with a wide range of needs, including high-risk pregnancies and complex gynecologic conditions. In addition to his clinical work, Salstrom has contributed to medical research, including serving as lead author on a literature review exploring the evolution of hormone therapy practices. His background reflects a strong foundation in evidence-based medicine and a thoughtful approach to advancing women’s health. He is accepting new patients.
