SBRMC Named In Newsweek List For Top Hospitals In The State

South Baldwin Regional Medical Center (SBRMC) in Foley is on Newsweek magazine’s list of top hospitals in Alabama for 2024. The hospital was eighth in the list of top hospitals in the state and the only hospital in South Alabama to be included in the list. The magazine and global market research and consumer data firm Statista identified the top hospitals in each state and the District of Columbia to help residents find the best local healthcare. The list included 11 Alabama hospitals. SBRMC is currently undergoing a $200-million expansion that will increase the facility’s capacity to 142 beds. The new five-story patient tower will add more than 200,000 ft2 of space to the main medical campus in Foley. The new facility will house a dedicated outpatient entrance with new surgery and endoscopy suites, a women’s and children’s unit with expanded capacity, additional medical/surgical capacity with doubled ICU capacity and a shell for future growth. The expansion is scheduled to be completed by early 2025.
