South Baldwin Regional Medical Center Breaks Ground On Expansion

South Baldwin Regional Medical Center broke ground this week on construction to expand and modernize its hospital, enhance services and increase overall capacity to care for patients in Foley, the South Baldwin Chamber of Commerce reported. The construction project is the largest undertaken at the hospital. It will impact numerous services, with highlights including a new surgical department with a dedicated outpatient entrance, a larger intensive care unit and new nursing stations. Renovations in the existing facility are to complement the new addition and support a welcoming patient environment. Construction on the South Baldwin Regional Medical Center’s campus is officially underway. The target date for opening the new space is early 2025. M. J. Harris Construction Services, LLC of Hoover, Alabama, is serving as the general contractor, and Gresham Smith is the architect.
