Southern Cancer Center Adds Breast Surgeon

MOBILE, Ala. — Southern Cancer Center in Mobile recently announced the addition of Dr. Lindsey W. Beakley. Beakley is a board-certified surgeon who completed her fellowship in breast surgical oncology. She provides care to women and men with malignant and benign breast-related disease, as well as women with abnormal mammogram findings and women at high risk for developing breast cancer. She has a special interest in oncoplastic surgery, nipple-sparing mastectomy, axillary reverse mapping and sentinel lymph node biopsy. Originally from Mandeville, Louisiana, Beakley received her medical degree and completed her general surgery residency at the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans. She then completed her fellowship training at the Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oaklawn, Illinois. Since 2018, Beakley has resided in Mobile and built a successful breast surgical oncology practice at Ascension Providence in Mobile.
