Spiritual Care Department Founded At USA Health

MOBILE, Ala. USA Health recently announced the addition of a spiritual care department to offer nondenominational faith-based assistance to those who visit USA Health facilities in Mobile. Chaplain Kim Crawford-Meeks will join USA Health on January 31 as the department’s manager. She received her master’s of divinity degree from Liberty Theological Seminary and currently serves as a board-certified chaplain at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Birmingham. She completed her clinical pastoral education through the University of Alabama at Birmingham’s spiritual care department and recently obtained a certification in spirituality and mental health through the University of Redlands in Redlands, California. The department will operate two offices: on the fifth floor at University Hospital and within the volunteer office on the first floor at University of South Alabama (USA) Children’s & Women’s Hospital.
