Thomas Hospital Receives American Heart Association Recognition

Thomas Hospital recently received the American Heart Association’s Get with the Guidelines – Coronary Artery Disease NSTEMI Bronze and STEMI Receiving Center Silver Plus with Target: Type 2 Diabetes Honor Roll awards. These accolades reflect the hospital’s commitment to implementing up-to-date, research-based guidelines for heart disease treatment, resulting in better patient outcomes, shorter recovery times and reduced readmission rates. Thomas Hospital says that, as a participant in Mission: Lifeline and Get with the Guidelines, it has improved care quality and demonstrated excellence in heart health and is home to Baldwin County’s only open-heart surgery program and a newly expanded cardiac catheterization laboratory.
