Urology Associates Adds Whitaker

Dr. Dustin Whitaker, a board-certified urologist, has joined Urology Associates in the group’s Foley and Fairhope offices. His academic journey began at the University of Alabama where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering. He later earned his medical degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine in Birmingham. Whitaker then completed his five-year residency at the University of Tennessee Medical Center, where he became proficient in treating a wide range of urologic conditions and received extensive training in minimally invasive robotic surgery. He practiced in Huntsville, Alabama, for two years before relocating to Baldwin County. Whitaker’s clinical interests span urologic oncology, with an interest in prostate cancer and kidney cancer, alongside expertise in managing benign conditions such as benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), overactive bladder, kidney stones and low testosterone. His training included considerable exposure to robotic prostate, bladder and kidney surgery; ureteroscopic/percutaneous removal of kidney stones; minimally invasive options for BPH; and sacral neuromodulation for refractory overactive bladder and urge incontinence.
