USA Health Names Director, Wins Award

Robert “Bobby” Stanford has been named director of facilities management atUSA Health University Hospital. Stanford is a native of Mobile and previously worked at Mobile Infirmary in a variety of construction, facility-management and maintenance leadership positions. In addition to day-to-day facilities-management activities, Stanford will supervise large ongoing projects including the Fanny Meisler Trauma Center expansion, conversion of academic office space on the 10th and 11th floors to clinical space, and completing the hospital’s storage facility.

USA Health Children’s & Women’s Hospital recently received the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners (IBCLC) Care Award, a certificate of excellence for its lactation and breastfeeding practices, from the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners. Children’s & Women’s was one of four hospitals recognized in Alabama. This is the second time it was acknowledged for lactation and breastfeeding efforts. The IBCLC Care Award is a global certificate that showcases hospitals, birthing facilities and community-based health agencies that have a dedicated lactation and breastfeeding support program.
