USA Health Surge Plan Gets National Recognition

Leaders fromUSA Health recently shared results from an internal effort to analyze processes and improve patient flow at a national online conference hosted by Vizient Inc., according to theEastern Shore Chamber of Commerce. USA Health University Hospital was one of 22 healthcare organizations chosen to give a live presentation at the conference, which was made up of participants from the nation’s largest academic medical centers, community hospitals, pediatric facilities and non-acute care providers. During the presentation, hospital leaders showed processes used to create a new surge plan, which has allowed the hospital to discharge and admit patients in a more streamlined manner, increasing capacity without adding more beds.
