USA Health To Host Disability Resource Fair

USA Health is offering education and support to families of children with special needs on September 30 during a back-to-school-themed Disability Resource Fair from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the first-floor lobby of the Strada Patient Care Center at USA Health’s Midtown Mobile campus. This fair will provide local resources for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, as well as information and training related to autism, including support groups for caregivers of loved ones with disabilities, Head Start and Early Head Start information, special education services for children aged 3-21, training resources and support for childcare providers serving young children with disabilities, inpatient support and coordination of care for children with complex medical conditions, and car seat safety with a booster seat giveaway while they last (child and vehicle must be present). The Catholic Social Services Disability Ministries, Mobile Community Action Head Start, Mobile County Public Schools special education programs, United Cerebral Palsy of Mobile’s Childcare Enhancement with a Purpose, the Children’s & Women’s Hospital Bridge program, Safe Kids South Alabama and the University of South Alabama (USA) Regional Autism Network.
