USA Regional Autism Network Hosting Workshop On Life After High School

The University of South Alabama (USA) Regional Autism Network is offering support for families with teens and young adults as they transition into the next stage of life. On August 14, a free workshop will be held in Daphne at Christ Wesleyan Church at 9 a.m.-noon, and it will cover services to support the transition from high school, vocational skills, guardianship, supported decision-making and housing options. The first of two sessions, “Life After High School,” will be presented by Andrea Mixson, a senior staff attorney, and Tammy Blue, a case advocate, both with the Alabama Disabilities Advocacy Program. Dr. Jordan Albright of USA’s Department of Psychology, will also lead a session titled “Planning for the Future.” To register, email the network.
