Via Health And Family Health Awarded Vaccine Grant

Via Health, Fitness and Enrichment Center announced it and partner Family Health have been awarded a $150,000 grant by the National Council on Aging (NCOA) for the COVID-19 and Influenza Vaccine Uptake Initiative, the primary care division of the Mobile County Health Department. The program is supported with funding from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Administration for Community Living. Family Health is partnering with The Via Center to provide its Mobile Medical Unit for easy access for vaccinations and wellness exams at The Via Center’s Midtown Mobile location. The funding from NCOA will support this initiative to make it as easy as possible for older adults to get updated vaccinations and protect their health. Family Health’s Mobile Medical Unit will host its first vaccine clinic at The Via Center on April 25 from 9 a.m. until noon.
