Cammie’s Old Dutch To Open Fairhope Location

Cammie’s Old Dutch Ice Cream Shoppe has announced the opening of a new location in Fairhope this spring. The shop will be located in the former Biscuit King building. This marks the third location for the shop, which has been serving ice cream in Mobile since 1969. According to The Mobile Rundown, the shop started when Edwin Widemire started sharing his father’s cherished ice cream recipes at his store. In 1998, Cammie Wayne, who had her first job at Old Dutch at 16, bought the shop. Then, in 2011, she and her husband Larry began making all their ice cream onsite.
