Fairhope Inn Named To Southern Living Top List For Best Inns

The Fairhope Inn has been named one of Southern Living’s South’s Best Inns for 2026, earning a place on the magazine’s prestigious annual list as the only Alabama property recognized in the Best Stays category this year. The award arrives alongside another honor for the community, as the City of Fairhope ranked No. 4 on Southern Living’s list of the South’s Best Small Towns for 2026. Now in its 10th year, Southern Living’s South’s Best Awards celebrate the region’s most beloved destinations and experiences. Built in 1906 as a family home, the Fairhope Inn has long been part of the story of Downtown Fairhope. The property became a bed and breakfast in 1998, and after current owner Paige Dawson purchased it in 2019, it had its guest suites, restaurant and courtyard refurbished. Today, it remains a destination not only for overnight stays, but also for memorable dinners, celebrations, weddings and private events.
