Jefe Paletas, P.S. Taco Open In West Mobile

Jefe Paletas recently opened at 5301 Cottage Hill Road. The new establishment specializes in Mexican frozen popsicles, ice cream and Mexican snacks. “Jefe Paletas” means “popsicle boss,” and 28 flavors of popsicles are currently offered, with flavors such as queso fresco with caramel, avocado and mango-chile. The location’s other snacks on offer include Mexican street corn that mixes mayonnaise, sour cream, lime juice, salt and hot sauce with corn, and Bionico fruit salad, fresh fruit mixed with sweet cream. The popsicle shop is opened by a pair of cousins whose fathers own La Cocina Mexican Restaurant. Nearby, the West Mobile location of P.S. Taco Co. opened on July 11 at 7899 Cottage Hill Road. P.S. Taco focuses on high-quality ingredients with a combination of classic Latin cuisine with a twist. The restaurant’s other locations are in Foley and Saraland, and a fourth is to come soon at 5000 Rangeline Crossing Drive in Mobile.
