Original Oyster House Hosting Toys For Tots Event

The Original Oyster House restaurants are drop sites for Toys for Tots until December 10, when the U.S. Marines will visit the Mobile Causeway location from 6 to 8 p.m. to pick up donated toys and take photographs. Those interested in participating are asked to drop off an unwrapped toy or donation to Toys for Tots in the collection box at the Mobile Causeway or Gulf Shores restaurants. All donations will be distributed locally to needy children. Toys for Tots began in 1947 distributing 5,000 toys to less-fortunate children who might have gone without a new toy during the holiday season. The program now distributes an average of 18 million toys to 7 million less-fortunate children annually.
