Follies Oysters & Cocktails Opens In Downtown Mobile

A new oyster bar and cocktail restaurant is now open in Downtown Mobile, bringing a locally focused seafood concept to a renovated industrial building along Monroe Street, Downtown Mobile Today reports. Follies Oysters & Cocktails is the latest venture from developer and restaurateur Taylor Atchison, owner of The Ice Box Bar, in partnership with Mackenzie Klyce and Max Donaldson. Klyce and chef Mike Shaffer will lead the kitchen. The menu will focus on locally sourced oysters, coastal seafood dishes and craft cocktails presented in what Atchison described as a “comfortable, elevated seafood menu in a neighborhood environment.” A future adjacent space is planned for a complementary cocktail and wine bar concept, though that project remains in development.
