New Cactus Cantina Approved For Orange Beach

ORANGE BEACH, Ala. — According to the OBA website, the Orange Beach City Council recently approved construction of a new Cactus Cantina restaurant on 3.14 acres north of the Dollar General on Alabama 161 in a unanimous vote. Cactus Cantina has restaurants in The Commons on Canal Road in the shopping center behind McDonald’s and on Beach Road in the old Hazel’s location. There are also locations in Gulf Shores, Fairhope, two in Pensacola and another planned for Foley. Developers are planning a two-phase development, with the first being the 6,300-ft2 restaurant and parking lot. Future plans are to add a 2,200-ft2 commercial building, while the parking for both buildings will be completed in the first phase. The second building will have to come before the council, as well, before construction can start on phase two.
