Plans For First Brewery In Foley In The Works

Tim and Alex Lipe are in the works to open Blessed Kettle Brewing Co. in Downtown Foley, which will be the first brewery for the city, Gulf Coast Media reports. The Lipes have purchased property across from Heritage Park on East Laurel Avenue, and the drawings are nearing completion, but it will still be some time before the doors are open. It is expected that the pair will break ground on the brewery early next year. The plan is for a 2,000-ft2 taproom with more than 3,000 ft2 of brewing space and a 2,000-ft2 event space. There will be a bar on the second floor with taplines running to it, along with a wraparound balcony providing outdoor space overlooking Heritage Park. The first floor will also have outdoor covered space. The Lipes plan to start with a 10-barrel system but have left space to add capacity. They also plan to have a space for a food truck to park on the property.
