SOCU Named In The Chicago Tribune List

Mobile’s SOCU Southern Kitchen and Oyster Bar and owner Erica Barrett were recently included in an article titled “7 Must-Visit Restaurants for Superb Southern Cuisine” in The Chicago Tribune. Mobile Mayor Sandy Stimpson said the online article reached more than 5 million people and was set to reach another 238,000 readers in print. SOCU, on Dauphin Street downtown, specializes in variations on southern dishes. Barrett is planning to open a second location in Birmingham’s popular Pizitz Food Hall next year.
