Two New Restaurants Planned For Olde Towne Daphne

Olde Towne Daphne is getting a new pizza establishment, with plans for Grizzly Pizza and Wings to open at 1709 Main Street this summer, Gulf Coast Media reports. This is the second planned location, with the first in Atmore, and the restaurant is run by brothers Nick and Al Karvelas, who come from a family of restaurateurs. Grizzly makes hand-tossed pizzas from dough made in-house with wings served traditionally or boneless, as well as hand-breaded chicken tenders, several sauces and specialty items. Additionally, Fat Al’s Burger Joint, another establishment of the brothers’ that will serve fare like smashburgers, loaded fries and milkshakes, will be connected next door. Grizzly is expected to open by the end of July, while Fat Al’s will open later this year.
