Stitt Named Alabama Silver Retailer Of The Year

FAIRHOPE, Ala. — Bill E. Stitt, owner and head bacon maker of Bill-E’s and Bill-E’s Small Batch Bacon in Fairhope, is Alabama’s Silver Retailer of the Year in the “Annual Sales $1 Million to $5 Million” category. Stitt founded the casual dining restaurant, originally known as Old 27 Grill, in April 2011. He added Bill-E’s Small Batch Bacon in 2018. According to Stitt, the small-batch bacon business has been growing more than 50% annually, while restaurant growth is approximately 35%. He ships to every state, and his goal for expansion is “to build a facility large enough to grow into other pork products and, eventually, other species.” The Alabama Retailer of the Year awards, started in 1999, honor retailers who have demonstrated growth, innovation and a commitment to their respective communities.
