The Admiral Named To Readers’ Choice List

The Admiral Hotel at 251 Government Street in Downtown Mobile, has been honored in Condé Nast Traveler 2023 Readers Choice Awards’ “Top 25 Hotels in The South,” securing the No. 15 spot. The Admiral has begun a property-wide renovation set for completion in early 2024. The property plans to modernize the guest rooms and public spaces to complement Downtown Mobile as part of efforts to transform it into a progressive cultural arts and entertainment district. Originally opened in 1940, The Admiral is a boutique hotel that reflects Mobile’s history, culture and atmosphere. With 156 guest rooms, an outdoor pool, extensive meeting spaces and an onsite restaurant, the hotel The Admiral will see new furnishings that tie in bright purples, reds and golds paying homage to the city’s Mardi Gras roots. The hotel will also be rolling out a new restaurant concept, Le Moyne’s, which will be a contemporary chophouse serving fresh seafood from the Gulf, high-quality meats, wines and cocktails.
