Toasted Yolk To Open In Former Fuego’s Location

The Toasted Yolk, a “next-gen brunch concept” serving omelets, sandwiches, tacos, scrambles, pancakes and “The Arnolds” (a variety of breakfast entrees that put twists on eggs Benedict) has been announced for the former location of Fuego on Old Shell Road in midtown Mobile, AL.com reports. The story indicates that CRE Mobile Realtor William Peebles said the 4,600-ft2 corner space would be occupied by the new breakfast/brunch/lunch restaurant. Peebles described the location as a “landmark property” originally built as a Greer’s market. The Toasted Yolk is a chain with approximately 45 established or “coming soon” locations spread from northern Texas across the South to Florida and South Carolina, with a couple as far north as Kentucky and Ohio. Those include a Dothan store that reportedly was the first Toasted Yolk to open outside Texas when it expanded in December 2021.
