Pie Insurance, an insurtech company that specializes in workers’ compensation insurance for small businesses, has expanded into Alabama, Insurance Business America reported. The expansion increases the company’s coverage footprint to include 38 states and its home of Washington, D.C. Combined, these locations represent 89% of small businesses in the U.S. Pie’s plans are designed specifically for the needs of small businesses. Coverage is available through the company’s website, independent insurance agents and payroll providers. The expansion, which also includes entry into Oregon, continues Pie’s growth momentum.
