Business Alabama Women In Tech Features Two Local Professionals

Business Alabama recently released its 2025 Women in Tech list honoring 25 professionals across the state whose achievements are shaping the future of industries from biotechnology and infrastructure to cybersecurity and advanced manufacturing, and two local women were featured. Michelle Kennedy Scott is founder and CEO of Mobile-based Gulf Sterilization Inc., which creates safe, sustainable sterilization solutions in the medical manufacturing industry using chlorine dioxide gas technology. Cathleen De La Garza is president of Uniti Fiber, a real estate investment trust based in Spanish Fort that acquires and constructs communication infrastructure and provides fiber and other wireless solutions for the communications industry. De La Garza holds a bachelor’s degree in government from the University of Texas at Austin, as well as a master’s degree in organizational management from George Washington University in Washington, D.C.
