SBCT 24 Hour Theatre Weekend Coming Up

The South Baldwin Community Theatre (SBCT) will present its annual 24 Hour Theatre Weekend on June 27-28, Mullet Wrapper reports. In the unique concept initiated by local playwright Laura Pfizenmayer, the format partners six local playwrights with six local directors to create, cast and produce six 10-minute plays. Auditions will be on June 27 at 6 p.m. at the theater at 2022 West 2nd Street in Gulf Shores. All actors and would-be actors are invited to attend. Playwrights and directors will be paired and given a random prop for inspiration. Then, actors will be assigned to the writing teams. Everyone who attends will be cast in the shows, to be performed the next night. The curtain will go up at 7:30 p.m., and tickets are $5. All tickets will be sold at the door, and refreshments will be served.
