USA Named Among Best Global Universities

The University of South Alabama (USA) has been recognized by U.S. News & World Report as one of the “Best Global Universities” in a ranking released this week. Of the 2,250 universities in more than 100 countries named in the ranking, only 280 of the nearly 4,000 universities in the U.S. are listed. The ranking was based on 13 indicators that measure each university’s academic research performance and global and regional reputations. The indicators included the percentage of highly cited papers (among the top 1% most cited), global and regional research reputation, and publications for scholarly research, particularly in the social sciences and arts and humanities.
