Baldwin County DA Donates Funds To SANE Program

The Baldwin County District Attorney’s (DA) office’s has allocated $40,000 per year to the Infirmary Health Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) program. The donation is funded through the county’s tobacco tax. The program plays a crucial role in the community by providing specialized care for survivors of sexual assault. SANE nurses are trained to conduct thorough examinations, collect evidence and offer compassionate support to victims. This program not only aids in the healing process for survivors, but also enhances the ability of law enforcement to investigate these crimes effectively.
