Cunningham Bounds Wins $6.5-Million Case

Mobile-based personal injury firm Cunningham Bounds recently announced it obtained a $6.5-million verdict against State Farm Insurance Co. and in favor of its insured, Meghan Grove, who was seriously injured in August 2019 in an automobile crash on Highway 45 when another driver negligently crossed the center lane. The at-fault driver did not have adequate insurance to cover the damages. However, Grove and her family had purchased underinsured motorist coverage from their own insurance company, State Farm. Grove had to file a lawsuit against State Farm to force it to pay the underinsured motorist benefits, according Cunningham Bounds. During the trial, multiple medical providers testified about the extent of Grove’s injuries. Cunningham Bounds attorneys Robert Mitchell and Lucy Tufts tried the case with the assistance of paralegals Jennifer Miles and Erin Stanford.
