Ganey To Seek Election For Current Position

Baldwin County Circuit Clerk Brenda Ganey has announced her intention to seek election to maintain her current position, a role to which she was unanimously appointed by the Baldwin County Judiciary last July. Throughout her career, which began in the Baldwin County Circuit Clerk Office, Ganey has worked with every part of the judicial system—supervising financial activities, implementing and upgrading records systems, assisting with elections, and working with judges and elected leaders across the county and state to create policies and procedures designed to make access to and understanding the judicial system easier. Ganey also spent seven years as Baldwin County’s court administrator, supervising the calendar and scheduling for all three Baldwin County courthouse locations and overseeing the operations and management of judicial financial accounts. During that time, she was instrumental in working with Baldwin County legislators and judges to help craft the legislation that created the new Baldwin County Mental Health Court, which allows people with mental illnesses to get treatment and medical help to address their mental illnesses, instead of being sentenced to prison. The primary election is set for March 5, 2024.
