MBA Member Named Chief Justice Of Alabama Supreme Court

 On January 21, Mobile Bar Association (MBA) member Hon. Sarah Stewart took office as chief justice of the Alabama Supreme Court. Stewart was elected as chief justice in November 2024 after having served as an associate justice on the Alabama Supreme Court since January 2019. Prior to that, she served for 13 years as a Mobile County Circuit Court Judge and was the first female president of the Alabama Association of Circuit Court Judges. In 2022, the MBA Women Lawyers recognized Stewart with the Trailblazer Award.
