Mobile Bar Association Announces Law Day Theme, Contests

The Mobile Bar Association’s (MBA) 2024 Law Day theme is Voices of Democracy, which recognizes that, in democracies, the people rule. MBA announced, “We, as Americans, are encouraged to participate in the 2024 elections, to discuss issues in honest and civil ways, to turn out and vote and, finally, to help move the country forward after the elections. This will aid us, as Americans, to ensure that our government remains responsive to the wishes of the people.” Law Day, held annually in May, is a national celebration of the rule of law. MBA invites the community to get involved through the Liberty Bell Award, which recognizes a non-lawyer in the community whose service has strengthened the American system of freedom under the law, and the K-12 Art and Essay Contest. Winners of both will be celebrated at the Law Day Luncheon on May 10 at 11:45 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Battle House Hotel in Mobile.
