Outside Chief Legal Adds Riccio As Officer

Robert J. “Bob” Riccio has joined Outside Chief Legal LLC as an officer. Riccio has nearly 20 years of experience advising business owners, executives and families on matters critical to their long-term success. His practice spans complex tax planning, mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and business succession strategies. In addition to his M&A and tax-focused work, Riccio offers experience in estate planning, trusts, fiduciary disputes and the representation of tax-exempt organizations. He is a seasoned advocate before federal, state and local taxing authorities. He serves on the Standing Committee on Trusts for the Alabama Law Institute and on the Board of Directors of the Alabama Federal Tax Clinic. He also contributes his leadership to the Estate Planning Council of Mobile, Junior Achievement and the Mobile Chamber of Commerce’s State Governmental Affairs Committee. Riccio earned his LLM in taxation from the New York University School of Law and his JD from the University of Alabama School of Law. A Certified Public Accountant, he has authored numerous articles, presented widely on tax and estate matters and was nationally honored with the American Bar Association Mendes Hershman Award for legal scholarship. He has been a member of the Alabama State Bar since 2007 and is a Leadership Mobile graduate.
