Supermarket chain Aldi has officially opened its regional headquarters and distribution center in Loxley, AL.com reported. The new hub will bring Aldi stores within range of approximately 8 million people along the Gulf Coast. The 150-acre hub just north of Exit 44 on I-10, where Highway 59 crosses the interstate, was announced two and a half years ago. Since, Aldi has opened three new stores in Mobile and two in Baldwin County, with another set to open in Fairhope in March.
