ALDI HQ, Distribution Center Breaks Ground

Grocery retailer ALDI U.S. broke ground on its new distribution center and regional headquarters (HQ) in Loxley on February 10, FOX10 reported. ALDI’s 160 acres in the industrial and warehousing district north of Exit 44 on Interstate 10 is expected to bring approximately $100 million in capital investment and 200 jobs to Baldwin County (ALDI to Build HQ, Distribution Center In Loxley). The company intends to build dozens of grocery stores across the Gulf Coast to become the third-largest U.S. grocer (by store count) by the end of 2022. Its Loxley operations are to begin by the end of 2022.
