Austal Names Blastos VP

Austal USA of Mobile has named Jim Blastos its vice president (VP) of supply chain management. Blastos has overall responsibility for procurement, strategic sourcing, warehousing, logistics, material management and production control activities for the company. He has more than 25 years of experience in developing strategic organizational transformation, collaborative solutions and operational processing. He has held leadership positions in supply chain and operations in the U.S. Navy and industry, including Overhead Door Corp., BAE Systems/DRS Technologies, The Home Depot and General Electric Co. A Navy veteran, Blastos holds a BS in general engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy. He is a Certified Lean/Six Sigma master blackbelt with a Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply Global Certification.
