Austal Names CFO, VP Of Operations

Austal USA has named Stephen Adams as chief financial officer (CFO) and Gene Miller as vice president (VP) of operations. Adams brings expertise in finance and a background in acquisition support and integration, government compliance and other skills to Austal as the company continues to diversify its portfolio and execute work on a $10-billion backlog. With more than 27 years of financial management experience, Adams comes to Austal from L3Harris Technologies, where he was the CFO/director of the company’s advanced solutions group. Miller brings a shipbuilding background to Austal, where he will oversee operations in the expanding shipyard in Mobile. He joins Austal from Ingalls Shipbuilding, where he was shipbuilding director/program manager, large deck amphibious assault ship programs. He has more than 25 years of maritime industry experience, including more than 15 years with General Dynamics Bath Iron Works, where he held several senior leadership positions, including VP programs and planning, VP operations and senior director engineering and design.
