Austal’s Kruger To Retire

Austal USA President Michelle Kruger has announced her plans to retire, effective June 1. Kruger was promoted to president in April 2024 after serving as vice president of global services and support, a role she assumed in 2022. Austal said that, during her tenure as president, Kruger guided the company through a period of remarkable growth and transformative progress, adding, “Under her leadership, Austal USA enhanced its operational capabilities, moved critical strategic initiatives forward and laid a strong foundation for the company’s continued long-term success.” Austal USA Chief Operating Officer Gene Miller has assumed the position of interim president, and Board of Managers Chairman Chris Chadwick will serve as executive chairman.
