Bender CCP Announces $4.1-Million Expansion

Bender CCP has announced plans to open a new Gulf Region facility in Mobile Commerce Park, expanding its operations to support the maritime industrial base and growing shipbuilding and ship repair activity along the Gulf Coast. The company’s new 22,000-ft2 machine shop at 5502 Todd Acres Drive in Mobile Commerce Park represents a $4.1-million investment. Plans include growing to 10 employees by the end of the year. The facility will provide propulsion shaft machining and other specialized services supporting U.S. Navy vessels and commercial maritime operations. The facility expands Bender CCP’s footprint beyond its existing West Coast operations in California, Washington and Oregon. The company is Naval Sea Systems Command; American Bureau of Shipping and International Organization for Standardization 9001 certified; and provides machine shop services, ship repair support and industrial services for defense and commercial customers.
