Buffalo Rock Opens Loxley Facility

Birmingham-based Buffalo Rock Co. has announced the opening of a distribution facility in Loxley, representing a $10 million investment and the relocation of approximately 100 jobs. The 25,000-ft2 facility, situated on a 10-acre site, is designed to support the company’s growing customer demand across the Gulf Coast. The project will bring 50 professional positions and 50 distribution and logistics jobs with an average annual wage of $75,000. The facility will include 10,000 ft2 of office space and 15,000 ft2 of warehouse space, along with eight loading docks to support efficient operations. Vardaman Construction is continuing work on the facility, which was designed with future growth in mind, offering the potential for an additional 15,000-30,000 ft2 of expansion space, nine more loading docks and the capacity to create up to 50 additional jobs.
