Frito-Lay Hub Coming To Prichard

A Frito-Lay distribution center is coming to 3221 Anton Street in Prichard, the Mobile Chamber announced. The project, which broke ground in June, is approximately 25,000 ft2 and represents an investment of at least $8 million. Once complete, the facility will serve as the direct-store-delivery hub for Greater Mobile. Frito-Lay North America is a division of PepsiCo, Inc. and operates more than 30 manufacturing facilities and more than 200 distribution centers helping service 315,000 retail customers a week. “This new Frito-Lay distribution center represents a significant capital investment within the City of Prichard and adds to Mobile County’s rapidly growing logistics infrastructure,” Mobile County Commissioner Merceria Ludgood said. “This $8-million capital outlay represents construction and other jobs. Frito-Lay’s distribution center should ignite additional investment and stimulate the local economy.” The facility is expected to be fully operational by June 2025.
