Gulf Distributing Executive To Chair NBWA Board

Gulf Distributing of Mobile has announced that Senior Vice President of Legal and Government Affairs Rebecca Maisel will serve as the chair of the National Beer Wholesalers Association (NBWA) board. Maisel, who has served on the NBWA board for nine years, was previously the chair of NBWA’s Next Generation Group, which aims to bring together emerging leaders in the beer distribution industry. An attorney, she joined Gulf Distributing 16 years ago and leads its government affairs, legal, human resources and organizational development efforts. She also previously served as chair of the Alabama Wholesale Beer Association and is an active member of the Beer Industry of Florida. NBWA said Maisel will help lead the beer industry as it expands the category; provides resources to its members; and advocates for continued independence within its three-tier system, which it says provides the infrastructure, capital and personnel small brewers need to reach a wide network of retailers.
