Logistics Park Infrastructure Approved, Details Given

The Mobile City Council and Mobile County Commission have unanimously approved the infrastructure agreement for the Scannell Properties project in the Mobile Commerce Park off Rangeline Road in Theodore. Ground is expected to be broken in mid-2024 on the project, the goal of which is to create modern distribution warehousing operations to support logistics and light manufacturing operations. The Mobile Chamber said in The Business View that its economic development team expects more than 1,000 new high-paying jobs and $600 million in capital expenditure associated with the site when its 5 million ft2 of industrial space is fully complete and occupied. This is to take 5-10 years. The chamber also noted it is one of only a handful of class-A industrial sites served by a CSX rail line.
