TERREPOWER Donates Solar Panels To Brighten Haiti Initiative

TERREPOWER, the solar panel and electric-vehicle battery lifecycle management division of Daphne’s BBB Industries, has announced its partnership with Brighten Haiti, a nonprofit dedicated to using solar energy to expand education, develop a sustainable economy and end poverty in Haiti. Brighten Haiti’s Solar4Schools initiative aims to bring solar energy to more than 300 schools and impact more than 150,000 students across rural Haiti. Fewer than 35% of Haitian schools have access to electricity. This effort represents the largest deployment of solar energy for schools in Haiti’s history, addressing the critical need for electricity infrastructure in underserved rural communities. The involvement of TERREPOWER and its Ontility brand helps advance Brighten Haiti’s mission, with the first shipment of 508 sustainably manufactured solar modules being shipped in May to be used in projects to power schools and train local workers on solar installation techniques. The total commitment to donating more than 4,900 solar panels will help ensure Brighten Haiti can achieve its goal of modernizing Haiti’s education system.
