Butting Breaks Ground On Loxley Factory

Butting, a global stainless-steel pipe manufacturer, has broken ground on its first U.S. production facility in Loxley. Butting says its $61-million capital investment will bring up to 100 high-quality jobs with wages significantly above the Baldwin County average. The 58-acre site in the Loxley Industrial Corridor will house the new facility, which will be developed in two strategic phases. Phase 1 will establish local administrative operations, engineering and fabrication of stainless-steel spools, components and cryogenic pipe systems. Phase 2 will serve as an expansion including two advanced welded stainless-steel pipe mills and additional fabrication capabilities to serve advanced industries across North America.
