Continental Donates Aircraft To CACC

MOBILE, Ala — Continental Aerospace Technologies has donated two aircraft to Coastal Alabama Community College’s (CACC’s) Alabama Aviation Center through a new community partnership. Mobile-based Continental says the city’s aerospace industry continues to expand rapidly, along with the need for trained aviation professionals. The partnership highlights CACC’s Workforce Development division, which offers a range of opportunities, including apprenticeships, credentials and career certificates at the Mobile Aeroplex at Brookley in Mobile. Continental believes the 1978 Cessna 182s it donated will be great instructional tools that will allow students in the Alabama Aviation Center’s Powerplant and Airframe Technology programs the opportunity to gain hands-on experience.
