Kimberly-Clark Announces $130-Million Expansion

Kimberly-Clark has announced plans to expand its Mobile manufacturing facility with a new production line. The project represents a capital investment of more than $130 million and will create what The Business View calls “approximately 29 highly skilled, new jobs.” The new manufacturing line is to position the facility for future investment and continued job growth, while enhancing the site’s role in Kimberly-Clark’s North American operations. “Kimberly-Clark has been central to Mobile County’s industrial landscape for 30 years,” said County Commission President Merceria Ludgood. “This $130-million-plus expansion is a strong vote of confidence in our workforce and the future of Mobile County.” The new production line is to open by third quarter 2027.
