Master Boat Builders Delivers Tugboat

Master Boat Builders, Inc. of Coden has announced the successful delivery of the Tortuga, the latest tugboat to join Seaside LNG/Polaris New Energy’s fleet. The Tortuga will operate out of Jacksonville alongside sister vessel Polaris. It is the second tugboat Master Boat Builders has constructed and delivered for Seaside LNG/Polaris New Energy, with Polaris having been constructed by the company in 2022. The Tortuga has an overall length of 109 ft and two U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Tier 4-certified, 2,000-hp Caterpillar main engines. The vessel also features two Berg model Z-Drive thrusters and a JAK Beacon Finland Coupler System.
