New Contract For Master Boat Builders

MOBILE, Ala. — Master Boat Builders of Coden is building a new tugboat for Suderman & Young Towing Co. of Houston, Business Alabama reports. This order makes three tugboats currently under construction for Suderman & Young. This one was designed by Robert Allan Ltd. to meet U.S. Coast Guard Sub-M regulations. It will have an overall length of 96 ft, 6 in. and a beam of 42 ft, 5 in. It will produce a bollard pull of more than 80 mT and feature two Caterpillar main engines producing 7,000 hp.
